CONFORMA Association of Certification, Inspection Testing and Calibration Bodies, was Formed in 2012 by some of the most prominent national and international Organizations in the field of independent third-party Conformity Assessment.

Conforma is based in the center of Milan and is structured in 4 technical sectors: Certification, Inspection, Testing and Calibration. Conforma – Associazione Organismi Certificazione Ispezione Prova e Taratura (Association of Certification, Inspection, Testing and Calibration Bodies), operates in the TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) sector, i.e., in the field of Conformity Assessment understood as the set of activities, generally carried out under accreditation and/or on authorization of the competent Ministries, in the voluntary or mandatory sphere, of certification activities of management systems, product, personnel and services, inspections, CE marking and laboratory testing and calibration.

Conforma’s Mission is to promote quality, safety and environmental protection through competent and independent certification, testing and inspection.

The goal of the Conforma Association is:

• Adding value to the processes, products and services being evaluated
• protect consumers
• Strengthen in institutions, businesses and citizens full awareness of the social value of conformity assessment in quality, environment, safety and sustainability.
